Kid Cooking Tips

Time for Veg In.

Getting preschooler to eat vegetables is not an easy task for everyone. Sure, there's always one mom in the playgroup that swears her kid'll eat every colorful tidbit set in front of him, but that's not normal. Rather than getting discouraged, the best answer is to try and try again. In more ways than one...If you've given your little one raw carrots only to have her spit them back at you, try steamed carrots next time. If that doesn't work, consider roasting them in a little olive oil with some salt. Still no luck, simmer them in apple or orange juice to bring out their natural sweetness. Maybe you just need to plant a baby carrot through the hole of a California Ripe Olive. Chances are you'll get the veg in eventually.
